As our program slowly starts to wind down, our intern of the week this week is Janell Mason. She has stood out among our cohort and has shown that she can improve week to week making more calls and meeting more quotas as she learns the ropes.
Janell is currently a junior at the University of Missouri in Columbia and she is studying Bioengineering. She is highly involved in the College of Engineering at Mizzou while working as a student assistant.
After weeks of learning the ins and outs of the field Janell has exceeded our expectation of increased improvement. Janell participates by working hard to meet quotas while also giving advice to other group members.. She is an individual who can push our intern team to the next level and we are glad to have her on our Medical Device Sales team!
Janell got to tell us a little bit about who she is and what she wants to do!
Q: In terms of long term career objectives, what are some goals you wish to achieve down the road?
A: My passion for science and my volunteer work in my community have woven together to point me toward using science to improve the lives of those around me. More specifically, my major in Biomedical Engineering will further specialize in engineering biomedical equipment that addresses the specific health needs of impoverished and minority communities.
Q: How do you believe Sprekk Supply Group can aid your journey to achieving these goals?
A: I believe that with the right connections and investors, as well as community outreach and advocacy programs that focus our attention on health and wellbeing issues related directly to poor and minority communities, we can rally our communities to come together for the betterment of all. Sprekk Supply Group serves as a useful connection that will help me on the journey to achieving my goals.
Q: What are the skills you wish to gain from this internship program and how do you plan to utilize these skills to achieve your long term career objectives?
A: The skills I have gained is time management, interpersonal, and just gaining knowledge on pain management solutions. These skills will help achieve my goals because I noticed how building important relationships and making time for people can achieve better goals for the solutions.
Q: What type of industry, program or graduate studies do you see yourself pursuing upon finishing school?
A: While this is still an ongoing battle, I would like to pursue the Product and Development side of the medical industry.
Our program has not slowed as time has gone on. We hold our interns to the highest level and watching continuous improvement week to week not only excites us, but our whole intern cohort. Janell has pushed herself one step further to where she wants to be and we are so appreciative of her hard work!
