Following another week of intern sales training, Emily Harris has been selected as SSG’s Intern of the Week. Her determination to go above and beyond the expectations of the program has been contagious and she has consistently put in the work to learn more.
Emily is currently a junior at Young Harris College studying Business Administration and Management and is set to graduate in Spring 2022. She has proven to be a valuable teammate as she has consistently made sure to help her cohort members throughout the program.
Our team had the opportunity to talk with Emily surrounding her goals and objectives in the industry!
Q: In terms of long term career objectives, what are some goals you wish to achieve down the road?
A: As far as the future goes, I would like to be passionate about my work with the ability to help people. With that being said, I would like to place a job in the medical sales field where I can extend my knowledge and experience. I would like to be in a spot where I can make genuine connections with the people around me.
Q: How do you believe Sprekk Supply Group can aid your journey to achieving these goals?
A: Sprekk Supply Group provides an extremely driven Internship with the ability to work as a team in order to advance our skills. I believe this position has aided me in networking skills, communication skills, and problem-solving skills. My supervisors as well as the other interns set standards that motivate me always. This position is a great way to get my foot in the door for a career path I am very passionate about. With the knowledge from the first four weeks of the program to continuous practice on executing sales pitches, SSG has given me an unimaginable amount of skills for my future success.
Q: What are the skills you wish to gain from this internship program and how do you plan to utilize these skills to achieve your long term career objectives?
A: The main skill I wish to gain from this internship is communication skills. I also wish to gain more experience in adaptability. I believe these two things are major players in any environment and will remain essential as I continue on my path as a medical device representative.
Q: What type of industry, program or graduate studies do you see yourself pursuing upon finishing school?
A: After graduating, I would like to see myself pursuing the medical device industry. I would like to stay open minded but I have developed an interest in this field and absolutely love communicating with people and selling products that I truly believe in. I have my sights set on a job in this field after graduation.
We are excited to have Emily be a part of the Sprekk Supply Group team and can’t wait to see what she achieves throughout the rest of the program and beyond!
